She was awarded a Countess of Munster Award and has been a semi-finalist in both the Kathleen Ferrier and the Belvedere International Opera Competition.<\/p>\n<p>On leaving the RAM she joined the Welsh National Opera where she performed and covered many roles including Carmen, Meg Page <em>Falstaff<\/em>, Maddalena<i>\u00a0<\/i><em>Rigoletto<\/em><em>,<\/em> Berta <em>Barber of Seville<\/em>,Marcellina (<em>Marriage of Figaro<\/em>), Flora and Annina (<em>La Traviata)<\/em>,Ragonde (<em>Count Ory<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Roles with the English Touring Opera include Marcellina, Tisbe,\u00a0<em>La Cenerentola,<\/em> Marchese <em>Daughter of the Regiment<\/em>, Baba the Turk <em>Rake\u2019s Progress<\/em>, with other roles including Buttercup and Hebe <em>(HMS Pinafore)<\/em> at the Royal Festival Hall and Kate <em>Pirates of Penzance<\/em>\u00a0D\u2019Oyly Carte Opera at Queen\u2019s Theatre, West End.<\/p>\n<p>Gaynor has made numerous recordings which have included the Councillor\u2019s Wife (Osud) conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras for EMI, Hebe <em>HMS Pinafore<\/em>, <em>Patience, Yeomen of the Guard<\/em> for TER records, and has also performed for the Royal Opera House, Opera North, Mid-Wales Opera, European Chamber Opera and Opera Interludes.<\/p>\n<p>Roles elsewhere include Mrs Sedley <em>Peter Grimes<\/em>\u00a0with the CBSO, Olga <em>Eugene Onegin<\/em>\u00a02nd and 3rd Lady <em>Magic Flute<\/em>, Orpheus <em>Orpheus &amp; Euridice<\/em>, Mere Jeanne <em>Dialogue of the Carmelite)<\/em>, Jack <em>The Wrecker)<\/em>, Priscilla <em>Silas Marner<\/em> by Howard Goodall at Salisbury Festival, World Premiere) and Rose Taverner <em>False Relations<\/em>\u00a0by David Stoll, (World Premiere), Ludmilla <em>Bartered Bride<\/em> (Mid-Wales Opera), Hippolyta <em>A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em>, Gertrude <em>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>, and Witch\/Mother <em>Hansel and Gretel<\/em> for Opera North Larina <em>Eugene Onegin<\/em> and Mistress Quickly <em>Falstaff<\/em> for Longborough Festival Opera, La Marquise <em>La Fille du R\u00e9giment<\/em> Diva Opera, Mistress Quickly <em>Falstaff<\/em> (Opera Project), Voice of Antonia\u2019s Mother <em>The\u00a0Tales of Hoffman<\/em>, Third Lady <em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em> and Annina <em>La Traviata<\/em> (Royal Opera), Dama Hannah <em>Ruddigore <\/em>(Opera North), Auntie <em>Peter Grimes<\/em> for Aldeburgh Festival,<\/p>\n<p>Having worked with Orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, London Bach Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, The Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic and the Vivaldi <em>Concertante<\/em>, Gaynor\u2019s concert repertoire has included Verdi <em>Requiem<\/em>, Mozart Requiem, <em>Elijah<\/em>, <em>Dream of Gerontius<\/em> and Vivaldi <em>Gloria<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gaynor Keeble won scholarships to the University of Warwick and the Royal Academy of Music.
